Primary Blended Service

The KC NAP located at 324 East 11th St, (A fiber dense building on the 11th Avenue (Axon Trench) known as the Oak Tower) and the Holly Data Center located on most area north south fiber routes, commonly refered to as the Sante Fe Train Trench, both in Kansas City and our corporate offices located at Oak Tower. KC NAP offers a variety of packages for our customers who purchase our multi-homed Internet bandwidth services. Not only can your cabinet, suite, data center, or NOC be located in an advanced data center with UPS and generator support, but you will benefit from our robust Internet bandwidth service offering routes from multiple carriers for enhanced performance and reliability. Customers should arrange cabinets, space and power directly from Holly Data Center or our parent company Computers & Tele-Comm, Inc.

Economy Service

In addition, the KC NAP takes into account different customer requirements and price sensitivity. Clients may select from three predefined service levels to define solutions based on their individual requirements for reliability and performance. The KC NAP offers Silver, Gold & Platinum service levels at all the connection speeds. Clients can also request customized levels of service like our NAP Economy Blend™ based on unique requirements of the many emerging technologies now migrating to public networks.

Service Variations

Blended Bandwidth™ Packages. Our Blended package includes full transit shortest ASN path to all carriers and all peers. This represents our Silver Level of service.

KC NAP service is better than regular ISPs in that our services are fully redundant to multiple carriers and to our own peering fabrics. We are fully Ethernet and IP based. We strive to keep as much traffic local as possible thus reducing distance latency losses. We also establish direct connections with our bandwidth partners avoiding ILEC infrastructure and the cost and performance losses normally found in ATM and OC based networks.

In addition to multiple carrier diverse route Blended Bandwidth™ packages we also offer a unique NAP Economy Blend™ The Economy packages allow all routes in but directs outbound bandwidth or high flows to low cost carriers like Cogent, Yipes and Hurricane Electric. This allows us to dramatically lower our prices for cost sensitive customers but still give you multiple carrier performance and reliability.

Customers at 1102 Grand, 324 E. 11th (Oak Tower) and 2401 Holly in Kansas City can qualify for our match price guarantee. If another carrier offers you a better deal we will match it point-by-point or buy you lunch.

NAP Peering Ports. A peering port connects to the peering fabric, you may elect to get routes from our route server or from other cooperating route servers, or make your own arrangements with other carriers to peer via our IP space. Peering ports do not include transit outside our fabric, but do include cross connections to the other peering fabrics we cooperate with or run. Peers are not required to take your traffic and may have unique policy of their own, but most cooperate with our approach.

All the packages above are available at our data center locations only. Our low costs are made possible by not having to pay the ILEC high fees for copper or Optical Carrier transport. However in some markets we do support T-1 connections, Wireless Transport or Metro Ethernet. Please call for details.
